Sadly

Sadly, This blog is not about adventure or any of the wonderful things I'm experiencing this week.  This blog is about a friend, and fellow team member of Pawling Cycle and Sport, Markus Bohler.  I found out as I returned from my ride today that the injuries he suffered during a bike race crash at the crit yesterday afternoon took his life.  Markus passed away this morning from multiple head fractures.  I just saw him before I left for my journey to Arizona.  We talked about riding, his training and my upcoming trip for about an hour at the shop.  He was an amazingly energetic and positive person.  This was the season he was going to win the race.  He always greeted me with a great big smile.  We will miss you Markus.  RIP
